Verification, Validation, and Accreditation
RTR personnel have extensive experience in the planning and management of model Verification and Validation (V&V) Plans. Additionally, RTR has performed the full range of V&V tasks in the course of independently reviewing third-party models on behalf of the government and in direct support of RTR's own model development efforts. Currently RTR personnel manage the model V&V effort for the Navy's P-8A Poseidon Program, which involves V&V planning and documentation for approximately one-hundred models.
Verification and Validation spans the tasks, requirements, and documentation associated with data V&V, conceptual model development and validation, design validation, functional and system verification, results validation, and accreditation recommendation. Our work is normally performed in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.61, DoD Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) with purposes of either accrediting a model for its intended use or minimizing program risk associated with the use of a model.
