MODELING & SIMULATION

We test it a thousand times before it’s rolled out in the real world.

RTR Technologies designs and builds innovative discrete event and agent-based simulation models to measure and forecast outcomes of specific processes and the resulting impact on facilities before implementing actual changes. We have in-depth experience in multiple simulation modeling languages and developed proprietary software designed for the Federal Government to analyze its workforce at land, sea, air, and mail ports of entry.

Modeling & Simulation facilitates experimentation with real world systems for the analysis of complex environments. Our team develops metrics that analyze the “as is” operations and then constructs “what if” models to predict the performance of existing or proposed systems under different configurations or operating policies. Moreover, our thorough design and unique methodology to collect and analyze data to populate models have provided uncontested, optimal results used by stakeholders to manage budget, processes, and operations. We also produce sophisticated visualization output of model results as a supplement to reports, spreadsheets and other graphics.

RTR Projects Include:

  • Constructed simulation models of over 75 different ports of entry covering air, land, sea, and mail operations (ECO and IMF).

  • Developed the Aviation Maintenance Model for the Navy.

  • Developed interactive dashboards to disseminate modeling output results to key Stakeholders in the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Field Operations D.C. headquarters.
