Operations Research
RTR Technologies applies advanced operations research techniques to help organizations understand, optimize, and transform complex systems. Through a collaborative, data-driven approach, we support strategic decision-making across areas such as policy development, operational planning, forecasting, and performance measurement. Our expertise lies in building and calibrating high-fidelity simulation models, analyzing resource and infrastructure utilization, and uncovering opportunities for system improvement and operational resilience.
At the core of our methodology is the collection and validation of reliable field data—gathered systematically and processed using rigorous analytical frameworks. Our team transforms raw observations into structured, actionable insights using custom databases, statistical analysis, and tailored reporting. From baseline assessments to full-scale business process reengineering, RTR empowers clients with the clarity, confidence, and tools they need to achieve measurable, future-focused outcomes
RTR Projects Include:
• Performed time and motion studies, in the inbound and exit environment at numerous air ports-of-entry, to assess the impact of various passenger processing systems. Studies have been conducted in partnership with Customs and Border Protection and the Transportation Security Administration.
• Conducted quantitative and qualitative studies of Customs and Border Protection NII operations at privately owned and commercially owned vehicle border crossings to collect defined data metrics for stakeholders to better understand the impact of various operational changes.
• Conducted field studies at various Express Consignment Operations facilities to research baseline operations and help support CBP headquarters in identifying best practices, process inefficiencies, data gaps, and other various operational intelligence factors that can be used for future planning.
